Defender is an accomplished maxi yacht that has sailed around the world before settling down in the sunny state of Queensland, Australia. Having been originally built for racing in 1989, this vessel can zip around the islands at top speeds, getting you to different locations quickly and leaving more time for fun activities! At 77 feet long, Defender has space for 26 guests plus 4 crew members onboard. There are 6 double bunks and 16 single bunks, each with fresh linens and comfy mattresses so you can sleep in comfort at sea. The ship also has 3 bathrooms with hot showers and toilets, plus a spacious saloon with 2 large dining tables so everyone can dine together. On the top deck, you’ll find ample space for relaxing, sunbathing, and socialising, with the added bonus of a shade awning to keep you cool. Defender even has air-conditioning - perfect for those hot Queensland summers!

RACE HISTORY

Originally called “British Defender”, this high-speed racing yacht was built for racing over 30 years ago. She has completed races all over the world before retiring from competitions around 2001. The yacht was completed refitted for sailing in the Whitsundays and found its new home in the turquoise waters of Airlie Beach.
